Hey Dick -

Just a quick shout from a long time lurker and carver wannabe, to say thanks 
for posting your pics. Love your carvings in all the various styles you've 
done. Especially your woodspirits.

I also really appreciate your shop pics. I am gradually accumulating some 
tools and have been salivating to get my garage cleared out and turned into 
a shop for a couple years. (Been through a couple  layoffs and keep getting 
delayed.) I am hoping to make some progress this summer - getting my old 
kitchen cabinets (from a remodel 2 years ago) hung, setting up my bench, 
neatening up, etc. Hoping to eventually turn it into my carving area/rustic 
creations shop.

Anyway - to a youngin like me (45 in Aug) just wanted to say that you and 
many here on this list are an inspiration. I hope to develop my carving 
enough to supplement my income when I eventually retire a couple decades 
down the road. At the rate I've been going it'll take me that long to just 
get my shop set up. ;-)

PS: My parents are retired there in Southern NH also, in Hollis (I'm in 
Cornwall NY). If I can get the chance during a visit to my parents sometime 
I'd love to swing by to get some pointers and see your shop if you'd be open 
to visit by a "wannabe".
