Thought we could all benefit of this number, especially when  not close to 
our address book or phone book.



We have all, at some time or other, had to call our  local phone company 
Directory Assistance, on their 411 number, to  obtain a phone number not 
readily available to us. A charge for  the service provided appears on our 
next billing. The information  below will allow you to obtain this 
information from your local  phone company, yes, even in Canada, with no 
charge incurred.


Phone companies are charging us for 411/information  calls when they really 
should not be charging for this service.  These charges vary, and they are 
often $1 or more each time we  require the service of Directory Assistant to 
obtain a phone number  not available to us.


If you need to use the 411/information option, simply  dial 1-800-FREE-411 
or 1-800-373-3411, and you will not incur the  charge your phone company 
normally assesses for the information  provided.


This will also work on cell phone Directory  Assistance. This is the kind of 
information that most people don't  mind receiving. Check it out for 
yourself on your Internet  server [www.Snopes.com] and then please be sure 
to pass this e-mail  on to your friends.
