Folks
  Here is a link to a free program that will recover files (photos) from damaged or formatted Memory cards.  The link for the second tool, Memory Card Safe Eraser, is invalid (it is set the same as the Digital Photo Recovery program.  I am in communications with the vendor to have them fix the link.   I used this tool last night to recover photos from a corrupted Olympus xD card.  It found photos that were take over a year ago and allowed me to fix the xD card to work in my camera.
   
  Best thing is that it is free :)

    Remember to practice safe computing and run a virus checker over the file.  It was okay on mine, but don't take my word for it :)
