John, this is an fantastic piece of work. The bird and bowl look great together. Did you turn the bowl from a piece of "Burl??? and then carved the legs. I love the colors in the bowl.

  Hi All, I have just completed the carving of a birdseye maple bowl with a perched chicadee and posted a few pix in my "Recent Carvings" album through Picturetrail. (Link below)

  This commission resulted from a recent show at the local Audubon Society here in Bristol, RI. A gentleman will present it to his spouse on their 25th wedding anniversay next Tuesday. Hope you can take a look.
