heh there Kathy-----you are beginning to appreciate the beauty of Bill  
Judt's List--the rapid response to your popular ? makes it apparent---the  
ingredients for a happy carving pursuit (of which there are many)---1) good  tools(at 
least $ 30 CDN per tool)--2) forgiving wood (like a good  wife) 
(basswood&/orbutternut)--3) join a carving club(where the  members will aid you in your 
pursuit)---enjoy your newfound hobby you can NEVER  learn too much--good
