Anne the entire pinecone is made with a single knife. There are many good
knives out there, mora frost knife, flexcut pelican, helvie, dunkle, many
many more.....some priced around 15 some of the fancier ones run around 35. can
be a carving or a chip carving knife but regular carving knife is better for
the whittling down to shape.
