[Woodcarver] European Steamed Beech

Vic:

There is another variety of Beech that I enjoy carving in, though it
is VERY hard and dense. It come from the northern tip of Vancouver
Island, the Sonova region to be precise. The light brown color is
exceptional and the grain consistent and tight.

Invariably, when I carve in this wood, people ask what it is, and I
always tell them "this wood is Sonova Beech".
