Mr. Sarfaraz Hasan:
Considering the many scams that come over the internet, we all must be very careful with our business relationships. As a professional carver who is visible on the internet, I get many "offers" to be the US rep for an overseas company. The offers are money transfer schemes, whereby bad checks or credit sales are sent to the US rep who is expected to "keep a share for himself" and then send the rest to the overseas company. The transaction turns out to be fraudulent and so the US victim has received bad money and has sent good money overseas. The scheme has many variations.
A US rep, therefore, must be very careful to avoid getting into one of those schemes. He would need evidence that your business is a legitimate one and that the customers are real. Who, specifically is the exporter you worked for, and who, specifically are your Canadian and US customers? A US rep would want to not just see pictures but have some specifics of your background, along with references that could be checked.
It is a sad that but true situation, but in this world of internet scams, we must all be careful.
I hope this information is helpful for anyone looking into an overseas business relationship.
