[Woodcarver] Carving contest - Source for unfinished carpenter pencils

Good news for those of you who have been looking without success for  
unfinished pencils for the WOM Carpenter Pencil carving contest.    
I've located a source in Tennessee who can get his hands on a  
quantity of unfinished, unprinted cedar carpenter pencils that are  
Made-in-the-USA.

He typically sells carpenter pencils in pack of 72 ea for about $15  
plus shipping.  These are likely to be seconds with minor flaws, but  
this is a considerable savings compared to buying printed pencils at  
your local store.  He is willing to consider a smaller quantity and  
may also make a web-site coupon available specifically for contest  
participants.

The supplier has asked if I can provide a rough estimate of the  
number of unfinished pencils that might be needed,  so he knows how  
many to get from the manufacturer.    If you are interested in  
purchasing some of these unfinished pencils,  drop me a note at  
womeditor at comcast.net.   Please do NOT reply on this list.     Let me  
know if you would order the 72 count box, or would prefer a smaller  
quantity,  say 36 in a soft padded mailer.
