To Mike and Patty,

In Byron's defense (although I know him only via this list), it is 
highly unlikely that he sent you anything such as the advertisement. 
Some spammer likely salvaged Byron's address online from an email (a 
very common occurance!) and is using it to hide behind for their own 
trash when mailing out stuff.

It is very likely nothing that your or Byron can do about it but ignore 
it.  Never respond to it, never reply with "take off your mail list", 
etc, because that only verifys your address to the sender.  It is likely 
your response was never received due to this type of mail routing issue.
