[Woodcarver] GOW as experienced by a "First Timer".

Well, after two years of planning I finally made it to
a GOW get-to-gether.

I would like to warn anyone who is thinking of going
for the first time next year to be aware of some of
the things I learned.

1. Joe Dillet, Bob Mau and Sandie Roosa are really as
nice as they seem. They could come to Minnesota and
fit in real swell---youbetcha!

2. I brought five days of food and didn't open the
ice chest 'cept for a beer or three. If you're a new
comer expect to be well fed on just a few bucks a
day---don't waste the ice on solid food.

3. Chicago is east of Samanauk and if the winds from
the west, Samanauk is the "Windy City" first.

4. Be prepared to learn. The instructors really do
take the time to teach and each one gave me something
to make me a better carver.

5. Be prepared for fun.

To Joe, Sandie, Bob, the instructors and participants,
I wish extend my heartfelt thanks for such a great
time.

See you next year!!

Choose to have a great day!
