For those of your wondering about Len's current condition the following letter from his wife was printed in our club bulletin, which I received this afternoon:

August 8, 2007

Leonard and I wish to thank all of your for your beautiful cards and prayers. Prayers are especially needed.

We truly missed our fun week at Doane College, this year, and so sorry to say we probably will never get to take part in Doane Week again.

Leonard hasn't improved, his day goes from bed, to wheelchair, then back to bed. He eats real well, they feed him real good. His mind is quite good, and can answer all questions with some time.

I have been quite upset with the local medical people and hospital. In the Emergency Room, I told everyone, he would not have a heart attack. A doctor, years ago, told us he would have a stroke. The E.R. personnel did not pay attention. All week on T.V. they had reports of strokes, what to do and how fast to do it. Three days later the hospital did a MRI and told me he had a massive stroke.

Bitterness at this time in Leonard's life will not help him much, but I am bitter.

We will miss all of your.

Thanks again

Dorothy Dillon
