Rick
Welcome to to the List!
In regards to acrylic paint, you can use either :)
I typically use the crafter paint for carvings. When I an working on a carving that I want to stain, I have opted for the acrylic in the tubes since it allows me the ability to control the monochromic finish for the nativities I carve.

Blessings and Peace

Hello all,

I am a new carver from FL. I am hoping that I will be
able to learn a lot from this list.

My first carving is for a beginner and its of a
Beagle. My first question is about painting. I
understand that acrylic paint. But is that the stuff
in the tube that canvass painters use or the stuff in
little bottles that crafters use?

Yours in Chips,
Rick

All help will be appreciated
