Hi John,
    I have only built Jan's wood spirit chair.  But I have noticed that 
the seat length is important.  My wife is short, so the seat is a 
problem. [ she fits good into Jan's chair]  She back usually does not 
reach the chair back with her feet on the floor.
    You might want to check the seat dimensions on the people how will 
use the chair before you go through all the work building it to find 
that is does not fit.
