[Woodcarver] Using Kerosene prior to carving

My guess is that it would do the same thing as any other oil.  Have 
you ever oiled a carving with linseed or Danish oil, then decided you 
wanted to recarve it?  The oiled parts carve really easily.  I'm 
assuming that the kerosene does exactly the same thing.
