[Woodcarver] Whatchacorv'n???-thick basswood in PA

There is a woodcarving show coming up,  I think in early march or apr  at the abbington campus of penn state.  there is a guy there who brings lots of basswood to sell(quite reasonable).  I have a friend who chip carves chairs and he gets his woods from him. sometimes when he needs certain thich slabs, he pre orders it and we pick it up at the show.

BASWOOD IS A NO NO for chairs you do NEED PINE
