OK Jan,
I think you are right and I am as guilty as anyone of not writing in, so I
have a couple of questions that I have been wondering about for a while.
#1 should a carving be sealed all around including the bottom or should it
be left a lone to breath?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Carvings that stand 'I do NOT seal on bottom
Relief carvingsw I seal all around to prevent moister coming in theback and
make it warp
2 have a home made antiquing mixture at home. I now need to make more but I
have forgotten all the ingredients, I know the paint is a burnt umber
acrylic but I don't remember what to add to it. Is it turpentine or paint
thinner or linseed oil or something else?
Can you guys out there help?
Thanks in advance.
Charlie

My antiquing is a mixture of
One part Paint thinner
One part Varathane
and 1/2 part Double boiled linseed oil
