wow look at all the different topics going on on this list. I think Bill
lit a fire under our butts. okay well, in keeping with the spirit of things,
i am going to ask a question...............okay here goes..................

I recently ordered a gun stock (walnut) so that I could try carving one. I
could wing it but figured it would be better to be guided by a book or video
for my first practice one. okay now I have about a 15-20$ budget for this.
does anyone have any suggestions, I know that there are different books out
there. have you used any, what do you reccomend. does anyone have a copy
they'd like to sell (or trade) me? I would kinda like one that covers most of
the basics from checkering to scroll work to custom scenes. Any Ideas for me?
thanks

any general tips on carving gunstocks will also be appreciated
