Well, some may be right but the following aren't <G>.

 4. Baseball is Canadian


Wrong,  While Abner Doubleday has often received credit.
            The Baseball Hall of Fame gives Alexander Cartwright
             the nod as the inventor. Both are American.

5.  Lacrosse is Canadian

Wrong again. Lacrosse was invented by American Indians and was
             played long before there was either an America or Canada
             as such.


6.   Hockey is Canadian.

Well,, sort of and not.  Field Hockey has been played MUCH longer than
             Ice Hockey, is basically the same game just played in a field
and
             not on ice and OH YES, predates Canada.


7.  Basketball is Canadian

Well, sort of and then again.  Truth is it was invented in the US at a
             YMCA but it was invented BY a Canadian.

8. Apple pie is  Canadian

Wrong, Apple pie standards have evolved in the US and Canada since it
              was first invented in medieval England but neither can claim
to
              be the origin.

11.  In the war of 1812, started by America , Canadians pushed
           the Americans  back...past their 'White House'. Then we burned
it...
           and most of Washington ,  under the command of William Lyon
McKenzie
           who was insane and hammered all the  time. We got bored because
they
           ran away, so we came home and partied...Go  figure..

Wrong yet again, The British under Admiral Sir George Cockburn invaded
Washington DC and
             did indeed burn the building which the White House replaced in
1815+ but there is
             significant debate whether it was known as the "White House" at
the time and any
             Canadians involved were serving as common soldiers in the
British forces.
