The person requesting to use it wants to have one or
two stained glass works made--one for a gift and
another to keep.

Is there some protocol for selling a design for a
single (or double) use without losing control of the
design? How would one charge for such a thing?

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks!

being you are one of the biggies in pyro, I would be asking a decent price
if I were you. You can grant a limited license for a price you agree on,
allowing a maximum X amount of copies while still retaining the rights to the
original pattern. Basically they will simply pay to use it and you will not
lose control of the rights to the design. You will have to word the agreement
carefully.

Joe dillett is the one to ask about this as he seems very knowledgeable on
the subject.
