Kathleen,
Consider your design property that you own. Just as if it were land, you
can sell part of it, all of it, or temporary use of it.
As the originator of the design, ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO YOU. You can choose
to sell or give away any portion of those rights you please. You and the
buyer just agree on what rights are being sold. You specify in the
agreement that you are
giving them the right to use your pattern for two (only) works of stained
glass. All subsequent rights are retained by you.
