[Woodcarver] Joe Dillet question

Hi Merrilee,

I've just got back from a full 5 days of showing at Country Thunder in 
Wisconsin. I'm coasting for the rest of today (Monday) before I have to set 
up tomorrow for another full 5 days of showing at the DuPage County Fair 
that runs through July 29th. One nice thing is that I don't have to unload 
the truck.

I began carving a large 8-foot long by 13 inch diameter hard maple log at 
Country Thunder. It is a mantel that I'm carving to a depth of 8 inches. 
It's been a while since I carved hard maple. I had forgotten how blooming 
hard it actually is. The plan is to finish it at the DuPage County Fair. I 
don't want to move it more then I have to. It is one heavy curved log. My 
customer is going to build it into a stone fireplace so the curve will make 
it look like it is growing out of the stone on one end and going back into 
the stone on the other.

I don't know why my email was bouncing because I have unlimited from my ISP.
