Hey Chris, If you are talking about paint pigment that the stores mix into
white base, I don't imagine them to be that much different than any other
acrylic or oil. they do need to be mixed into a white base for their true colors
to be realized. after that it should be just like working with any other
paints as far as mixing charts go. they can be mixed with any water based or
oil base. the advantage as I see it, would be to be able to mix up an entire
palette in varying degrees of opaqueness. as for the quality of the paint, I
would figure they would only be as good as the binder being used i.e. db
linseed oil or water with an acrylic retarder added.
