Sally
Would these be grease pencils? I used to use them with overhead projectors for teaching classes. If so, they come in a myriad of colors They are often called China Marking Pencils

here is just one place on the web (of many) that I found.

Sally,

Just MTCW for anyone that hasn’t used these
get one or two of the white version as well. They work well on the darker woods like butternut, walnut, or black walnut.

Keep on Carvin'

Hello carvers,

Asking for your help in locating a pencil that leaves a very black line like a crayon. It even marks on wet wood! And it doesn't wipe off or smear.
A friend purchased a box of these at a garage sale. While teaching carving classes, everyone wanted one of these pencils. They quickly disappeared. His "last" pencil has been sharpened down to a snub.

The only remaining information is:

O.H. Moon

pencil Co. (M with a circle around it)

color projection

If anyone knows where/how I can purchase some of these, I'd be grateful.

Appreciated

Sally
