[Woodcarver] Afghanistan Tour of Duty... Alec PLEASE read!!

I've set your subscription to "no mail", and this can be reversed in  
a minute when you decide to return to the List.

As for your tour of duty... God be with you and keep you safe.

I know you are an experienced soldier and that you have full  
knowledge of the challenges presented by the Afghanistan situation. I  
also want you to know that your work is valuable, respected and  
honored in my home and by the vast majority of Canadians.

I am copying this message and sending it my son Alec, who is attached  
to CFB Edmonton, 1st Service Battalion. He will be deployed to  
Afghanistan in '08... which means that as you return from this tour  
of duty he will be replacing you. For this reason, you and he hshare  
something in common.

Perhaps you and he can connect and keep each other up-to-date, as far  
as security protocol allows. Would you be open to this? If so, you  
have his email address in the headers.

Blessings and Peace to you and the rest of the Canadian forces whose  
efforts are to secure peace.
