[Woodcarver] breathing problems

well seems like i have "done it"  i was not very careful with the power carving the last few years and now am on oxygen 24/7.  sure would have been easier to pay attention to the listers back then when everybody was talking about air filters and masks.  is there a mask available that will totally block all the dust in the air?  guess i will be learning how to sharpen these chisels i have. :(
