Two or three weeks ago someone wrote, when you just cannot carve, for any
reason, spend time planning your carving, draw patterns, and picture in your
mind your finnished piece.
This will cause you to be very excited about picking up your carving tools
to bring your dreams out for everyone to see.
I have forgotten who wrote it, but thank you very much, it works.

That was me Larry and I'm glad it worked for you. In my own experience the
planning and design of a new piece is when I get myself excited about
something. Once I know what it is I need to do to bring it to life and i can see
the finished piece in my head, its like something takes over and no matter what
obstacles I face, I will find the time and the effort to make it happen. I
pinched a nerve in my neck a few weeks ago and have been doomed to no carving
right now because it is affecting my arm also. But if I wasn't at least
working on something I would be really bored, so I work on it in my head. Can't
wait till I can pick my tools up again.
