  Bill:


  I'd use a belt sander to clean and level the surface, and then coat the bench with a water-based "Diamond Urethane". This is one TOUGH finish!!

    I want to clean and refinish the top of my work bench. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It won't last to long before I mess it up again but it might be nice to have it looking good for a couple of days.
