Well, Lori, as far as I am concerned you achieved the "AWWW" you were 
looking for!  That is indeed a very sweet and cuddly looking bird!  I think 
I like it best at the beginning with out the paint.  But your color 
explaination for shadow and change is very interesting.  I am teaching art 
this year in the middle school (at least I am trying) and the one thing I 
took out of all the paint was the black.  The kids hate me :)  But the 
results are so much better!  Thanks again for posting!
