Hello everybody!  This was my lucky week.  I just received a beautiful chip
carved egg from John J. Hane.  John indicated that he was 15 years old and
had been carving for 4 years.  I can attest that John has been studying his
art well.  According to John, the pattern on the egg was the Pysnaka pattern
from the Ukraine.  John’s carving was top notch and his painting was
exquisite.  I’m excited to have this carving in my collection.  Thanks much
John. John, if you get the chance, enter your work in carving shows, if you
haven’t already.  I’m quite sure you would do well.  

 

Also huge thanks to Matt for arranging the exchange.  I have quite a
collection of carvings obtained from the exchange.
