[Woodcarver] Laminating boards

Hi Everyone!!!

   I am doing a carving of a head and to do so I need to laminate some boards to get the width I will need for the project.   My question is, won't I have lines going thru the center of the face?   Is there some way of preventing this or another way to laminate the wood so a seam does not show?
