Chris,
I started out with a set of 5 palm tools with red handles...don¹t remember
the name.  They have been my primary tools for 12 years now and still are
used everyday.  Cost me about $40.  Save your pennies and look into them.
Good tools make the fun of carving so much more enjoyable!

Hi again everyone,
I just added pictures to my existing Flickr set of pictures in Woodcarving
the very last picture is the final finished product....just cursor over the

As for the Advice for NOOB re:tools   I cant afford Flexcut tools just a
basic 4 piece set cost about $100 and my wife has capped me off at what I
have spent so far...I thank you for everyone's help and pointers but I will
just have to make do right now with the small 4 piece set I have now or at
least until I finally receive my 11pc set and see what the quality of those
tools are like.
