Steve,

Yes, there is a local carving club in the Largo, Fl area; the  
Suncoast Woodcarvers Club.  The club has members from Pinellas County  
and a few from Tampa.  We meet each Tuesday Morning at the Seminole  
Recreation Center, which is reasonable close to Largo. In fact, over  
a third of the carvers come from the Largo area.  The attendance is  
about 10 to 15 carvers in the summer and about 35 to 45 carvers  
during the winter months.  Please email me offline for direction to  
the Rec Center and the meeting times.
