Hi All...

This has probably been discussed in the past, I am looking for some sort of carving vise that would hold walking or hiking sticks and canes. I plan on carving wood spirits of sorts and I figured holding steady the piece you carve would be a good thing. Either plans to make a vise or a ready made one would be great.

Thanks for the help...

Steve

Steve I use my regular bech vise I have 2 pieces of wood 2x3 x6 and I hollowed both out to some degree and put them around my stick held in place with an elastic band
than I place them in the vise and tighten gently this way you can move the stick up or down to a desired hight for easy carving
Happy cor'n to ya
