Joe,
I just came back from NAB (video show) and at the Final Cut Users' Group
meeting there was a 1/2 hour presentation by 19 people from a new school
for disabled marines to learn editing. They did a combination of what
happened to them during the war. They said it was theraputic to tell
their story and gave them a public way to have a resume - 1200 editors
got to see their work. They were trained on donated equipment. It was
very positive and I'm sure it made a huge difference in their lives.
They said it was great to learn how to create something - a skill that
they had forgotten.
So, while this may be difficult right now, be sure that long term you
are making a difference.
Regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,
It very interesting about those classes for the disabled vets. Gives me hope
that I will be able to get something started. I've been making lots of calls
and getting directed to other contacts. Everyone sounds very interested and
very helpful but I haven't gotten to the right person yet. They've given me
3 more places to call today.
Thanks for your encouraging post.
