Hi there,
I would like to nominate Jan Oegema from Ontario Canada as he has been instrumental in my finding the love and enjoyment of wood carving.  From always being available for the many questions I ask, the proper techniques for carving and the plain, flat-out kindness with the "there is nothing in this for me but the enjoyment of helping new carvers" attitude. Not to mention that his own carvings are fantastic from little whimsical houses, to the Christmas Gnome he had featured in the magazine they are truly amazing pieces.
