[Woodcarver] What carving gift is on your list?

Hi Matt,
One nice thing about carving for a long time is I've got all the tools I
need plus more.
For Christmas I would like a few more disabled veterans to teach. I am
staying in touch with Camp Pendleton [Wounded Warriors West], and 2 of the
students I had in class there who continue to carve. Sharon and I are hoping
to do it again in the first half of next year. We are just waiting to hear
from them. I've been trying to get something going in Washington DC with
Wounded Warriors East. So far I haven't got a contact (staff member to
Wounded Warrior East) to help organize it. I was lucky enough to find a
disabled veteran, from the Gulf War, who's interested in learning to carve.
He lives close enough to my shop and has been coming for regular classes. We
are also contacting L. Tammy Duckworth, Director of Veterans Affairs here in
Illinois, to see if we can get more organized.
