The key phrase here is "properly train".  I think that she has taken a  look 
at life expectancy tables and figured she won't possibly have enough time  to 
finish training you, Mike.  But she is a wise woman and figures a half  
trained husband is better than most.  The other telling thing about this  statement 
is the obvious Freudian slip, "beats me, Jack".  I fully agree  with her 
methods but urge her to take to the gym to strengthen her upper body so  she may 
beat you more effectively, you are still able to type.
