Dear Carving Friends
Carving canes for our troops has become a club and also individual project, across our nation. I think that is wonderful. However there seems to be a lot of controversy as to what is the correct carving format or allowable features incorporated in each cane.
Does any one have a copy of the "Cane Standard' or "Regulations" as to what is allowed or not allowed, etc.?
Why is it a problem to just do a great cane and donate it to some deserving man or woman "Troop" who could benefit from its use, in a small gesture of our appreciation?
If anyone has, or knows of this standard, would they please share it with me?
I belong to two (2) carving clubs and the information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much, Sincerely Bob Muller, Pawling NY a/k/a AshHickory at verizon.net
