Hi Larry:

Do you get Woodcarving Illustrated? In the Holiday 2007, is an article by Mark Gargac. He is teaching how to carve Olde World Santa Ornaments. It is a pierced carving where the back is hollowed out which allows the beard to have open areas which gives a nice affect. For me it is also a good instruction on the face.

He also offers a DVD on this project for $23.95. It is available on his web site which is http://gargacsoriginals.com/

Take care,
Joe H

Does anyone have a favorite carving DVD? I enjoy watching and learning from them and have a fairly good starting collection but was wondering if I was missing any good ones. Last week I tried to contact Floyd Radigan and Everett Ellenwood through their websites to order their new discs but neither of them replied. Beginning to feel like the invisible man here (damn spam filters - LOL). I even put the videos on my Ipod and take them into the shop.

Larry
