I appreciate the nice comments about my video. If I can be of any help, or answer any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I recently had a stroke, but everything is going great, so I look forward to hearing from you. Fortunitally there should be no major lasting effects, just very scary when you are paralized on one side and unable to speak, but I'm on the road to recovery now. I should be in good shape for Carve Fest.
Just to let you know, my new book "The Complete Book of Woodcarvng" will be available in may. It's being puplished by Fox Chapel Publishing, will be 288 pages long, 10 chapters, and cover everything from the history of wood carving to painting and finishing your carvng, plus will include 9 projects. If any of you are interested

There is one series on carving a woodspirits. There is another that uses stop-action photography on carving grapes and leaves.

Originally I was going to use them for a magazine article, as well as projects on the next carving cruise, and then teach classes and sell blanks and instructions- as usual.
> I got the 3 first ones done, and then realized that they didn't look good together, and were not even all fish, (Orca are marine mammals, ie, dolphins). And they were very difficult to make. I had planned to make this an article on making EASY fishies. I failed.
