[Woodcarver] The Original 100!!

[Classic Carving Patterns]

Mike and I are like Vic - I think it was around late 1997 that we joined the
list.   I doubt that we are even near the first one hundred.  But I do remember
when Bill announced the 500th member :)
 
Over the years there have been times that Mike has screamed at me "Are you
writing to the Digest AGAIN!" because he couldn't pry me away from the emails
and other times that we have lurked in the background for months at a time.  But
always we have appreciated the friendships, sharing and community feeling that
Bill has created here.  And always I start every morning by first reading the
Digests that arrived in our inbox before I have to start my day of work.
 
Thanks Bill, Thanks everyone for another great year.  I know there is only
better to come!

Gentle Subscribers: 

On January 1st this List community entered its 11th year online. That's roughly
132 months, or 3960 days of community, sharing and friendship.
I can still remember first starting this list and wondering if it would go
anywhere or accomplish anything. At present the List has 847 subscribers from
all over the world. Some of the original 100 subscribers are still part of this
community.


Were YOU one of the original 100??? If so, tell us about it... subject line
"Original 100". Let's hear your stories.

I want to thank all the faithful List subscribers and supporters of the last 11
years who have made this community what it is... a safe and helpful group of
carvers from all walks of life and all carving persuasions. I hope you have a
safe and productive year in 2008.
