The best bark you can get is from "The Bark Guy" Art Olver.  artolver at comcast.net  Phone 258-804-3488.   Tell him or his wife Dorothy what you intend to carve they'll pick out of their vast mountain of bark the best for subject.  Art's been collecting and carving bark for somewhere around 50 years.  He knows his bark.
