Hi Chris;

Sorry to hear about your problems with your eBay purchase.
Here's some suggestions..
I would advise you to contact Jan Oegema again since you got a knife from
him, he would be able to make some suggestions as to what tools you will
actually need to do the type of woodcarving you want to do.
Actually to start, you could most likely do any small in the round animal
carvings with just a knife which you already have, Jan again could most
likely sell you appropriately sized wood for this instead of you having to
laminate 3 or 4 layers of 3/4" wood together.

Another suggestion closer to home and right in Collingwood Ontario Canada
is you could contact the Wood Chippers who meet on Tuesdays at the
Collingwood Leisure Time Club, this is a 50 and over club I believe but
someone there would surely be able to assist you in woodcarving tool selection.
I also believe a lady by the name of Ellen Burke is the instructor there,
so if you check your phone listings for Collingwood I think, E. Burke is
the only one listed.
Hope this is of some help.
