[Woodcarver] A sharp tool

I don't know if you have the patience to try hand sharpening, but I never
had any success with even hand sharpening until I purchased a DVD from
Everett Ellenwood called Sharpening Simplified. I have had much better
success with my tools since I started sharpening by using his method of hand
sharpening. I got the recommendation for this video from this list, and I
was so impressed, I showed it to my carving club, many of whom are long
experienced carvers, (unlike myself) and most of them found some useful
things in there that they had not tried before.

If any of you are interested, you can get this video from Ellenwoodarts.com.
He helped me tremendously.

I'm sorry I don't know anything to help you or advise you about using
grinders or any other kind of machine sharpening system.
Good Luck,
Arkansas Fran

I have tried and tried to hone tools and knives, with stones and grinders. I
can't get it right! Sure you heard this question before, but I just plain
can't get the hang of it! Frustrated in jersey.
