Hi Jeff,
I have an old 12-inch Sears Craftsman band saw. For all my cutting, from thick oak, walnut and basswood to thin stock I always use 1/4 inch wide skip tooth blades (4 teeth per inch I think) or 6 tooth if I can't get skip tooth.

Carving friends,
I need to replace my bandsaw blade and would like to know what would be best for cutting up Basswood and making roughouts.
Suggestions and sources are welcomed
