Hi Alex,

Awesome work. Thanks for sharing.

Others, especially new members, may not know what an engineering genus Alex
is. I had a Boring Contest for my first Gathering Of Woodcarvers (1999).
Alex won by consistently drilling an 11/16 hole clear through a 1-inch
diameter, 4-foot long, wood dowel, from one end using only hand
tools, without breaking out the side. Steve Kline won second place being able
to drill about 2-1/2 feet before breaking out the side. The process had to
be repeatable and they had to bring a video tape of them doing it. Alex had
a very simple setup that worked every time.
