Hi Mike...I don't recall the article you mentioned,  but I do remember some whale patterns made available by Lori Irish that might help. Brian Gilmore has a pattern of a Bowhead Whale feeding (that would make a great caricature of a smiling whale) in his book "10 Patterns for carving Whales."   .a Chip Chats article that featured someone who carved "Get Whale Soon" figures for their friends in the hospital?  Remember what issue (what era even <G>)?  Even a lead on a good caricature whale would help.  Thanks in advance for any leads.
