Hey Lil' Joe and everyone!
 
I'm so glad to hear GOW 2008 went so well in spite of me having to miss it this
year.  :o)
 
I want to thank everyone who signed the walking stick that was brought back by
my buddy Rick.  I appreciate all your kind thoughts and prayers.  The surgery
went very well and I'm fully on the mend.
 
I also want to thank all you who weren't at the GOW for your concern.  It's nice
to have such a wonderful family out there pulling for you.

GOW 2008 was a roaring success. Thanks to all who taught, took classes and
helped out. The 20 great instructors over 4 days made for a lot of fun and an
exciting learning experience. Even though many who attended before could not
make it this year we had the biggest crowd ever. Because of our great
instructors, all indications show more growth for next year. 

 

It was very lucky that we planned on having the GOW at the Sandwich Fairgrounds
(about 60 miles west of Chicago) instead of at my shop like all the other years,
because with the heavy rains the days before we would have had to cancel it. As
it was the fairgrounds worked out perfect. The weather was awesome. Many
friendships were renewed as well as making more friends.

 

We sure hope that you all can join us next year. Mark your calendar for GOW
2009, the week of September 21, 2009. Put

Thanks to our GOW Hosts for all their hard work. Sandie Burgdorf (registration

supplies), Sharon Dillett (food). We welcome our new host Susan Alexander (who
is capable of herding cats) to help with some exciting new ideas.
