Things are finally turning around, though the winter of ’08-’09 definitely will not be recorded as one of our better winters. 
 
Last weekend I taught a two day class… definitely a bright spot.  Three “veterans” doing figure carving, and three beginners (one a 12 year old) carving my Swedish Luck Trolls.  The 12 year old’s parents tag teamed to keep their child supervised.  The parental supervision is a “strong recommendation” I make for students that young.  In theory, it means there is a second set of ears listening to the lesson for the student and a second set of eyes watching them for me.
 
How’s your Mom?  Are things looking good for you three being at the NEWR this year?
